ACAAI had a meeting with Shri Vumlunmang Vualnam, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation to discuss various issues including DGR training / Transshipment and issues faced by Chennai Airport. ACAAI President Mr C K Govil along with ACAAI Secretary Mr Vikram Kumar, Board of Advisor Mr J Krishnan and Northern Region Chairman Mr Manoj Kumar Jain had a meeting in this regard.
As a follow-up, the issue of Training Institutes not being allowed to conduct training due to the new CBTA regime, DGCA India is now fast tracking the approvals and also the DGR Certificate which had expired during April and May, they are considering extension of the same till 30th June 2024.
