Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Mopa International Airport in Goa, which has been named after former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. The New Goa International Airport shall be starting operations from January and will begin with domestic cargo operations by February followed by International Cargo operations by March. This airport shall cater and increase the exports of perishable items and also the pharma products which had to be transported to Mumbai and other international airports.

There is great potential for Air Cargo Agents in the coming months. ACAAI congratulates and wishes huge success to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of Goa and GMR Goa International Airport Limited (GGIAL). Looking forward to collaborations in the future to boost cargo movement from the airport.
